Award recommended bids for Bid No. B1754 - 2018 Chemical Program.

 

Executive Summary:

Annually, based on detailed specifications, Utilities staff requests bids for the upcoming year’s Chemical Program. Bids for the 2018 Chemical Program were opened on October 17, 2017 and the bids were read publicly.

 

Utilities staff have reviewed the bid unit prices and recommends awarding the bidders with the triple asterisk (***) found in the Bid Summary Recommendation.

 

These bids include the required chemical specifications for treatment process, shipping requirements, and delivery. A comparison of chemical use from 2011 to September 2017 and unit prices is attached.

Fiscal Impact (Amount/Source):

The fiscal impact to the City is $1,672,000. Funding for these purchases is budgeted in the annual Utilities Fund Operating Budget.
