Authorize the City Manager to execute a License Agreement with the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas, a Kansas not for profit corporation, if appropriate. |

Executive Summary: |
St. John’s Catholic Church is in the process of repairing and replacing the entrance steps to its main structure at 1208 Kentucky Street. In order to come into compliance with the City Code, the steps will have to be extended and will overlap the Kentucky Street Right of Way approximately 4.6 feet. The Catholic Archdiocese and City staff have reached a tentative agreement whereby St. John’s will be permitted, as an accommodation, to extend its entrance steps and use a portion of the Kentucky Street Right of Way therefor. St. John’s will be responsible for maintaining the licensed area. The proposed agreement will permit St. John’s to use the licensed area for the enhancement and enjoyment of its property and will protect the City’s rights in the Kentucky Street Right of Way. |
