Recommendations/Options/Action Requested:
Adopt on first reading, Ordinance No. 9401, to post a yield sign on 19^th Terrace at Maine Street. Adopt on first reading Ordinance No. 9402, to remove stop signs at the intersection of 17^th and Illinois Streets, 17^th and Indiana Streets, and 18^th and Illinois Streets.
Executive Summary:		This summer traffic circles were installed at the intersections of 17^th and Illinois Streets, 17^th and Indiana Streets, 18^th and Illinois Streets, and 18^th and Indiana Streets.  Upon installation of the traffic circles, stop signs at these intersections were to be removed with the exception of the intersection of 18^th and Indiana Streets. The 18^th and Indiana Streets intersection was allowed to retain 4-way stop signs temporarily for one year until a recommendation is reviewed for permanent traffic control. That approval was given at the July 18, 2017 City Commission meeting. Ordinance No. 9402 reflects the changes to the other three (3) intersections traffic control. Upon adoption of this ordinance the traffic schedule for stop signs will be updated. A request for a yield sign on 19^th Terrace at Maine Street was made to the Transportation Commission. City staff reviewed the request and recommends approval of the installation of a yield sign.  Ordinance No. 9401 reflects the change to the intersection of 19^th Terrace and Maine Street traffic control. Upon adoption of this ordinance the traffic schedule for yield signs will be updated.
