Executive Summary: |
The Halloween Block Party event organizers (Wake the Dead, 7 E. 7th Street) have applied for a street event temporary use of right-of-way permit for their 2017 event, benefiting the Lawrence Humane Society, to be held on Friday, October 27, 2017, from 3:00 p.m. to 11:59 p.m.
The event applicant has requested an ordinance authorizing the sale, possession and consumption of alcohol in the 100 block of East 7th Street during their event.
The request to sell, possess and consume alcohol within the public right-of-way has been reviewed pursuant to City of Lawrence Code, Chapter IV, Article 1, Section 4-113 and was found to not be within 400 feet of a church or school.
