Recommendations/Options/Action Requested:

 

Receive update on Sales Tax Education and Communications Plan.

 

Executive Summary:

At the July 11 meeting, the City Commission adopted Resolution No. 7214, Resolution No. 7215, and Resolution No. 7216 related to a special question election and authorized the publication of the Notice of Special Question Election for City sales tax election to be held on the 7th of November 2017. 

 

In response to the City Commission’s request to be informed about the educational outreach that will be undertaken by city staff, a Communications Plan Outline has been developed and is available online.

 

Staff is developing content for educational materials and will provide an update on these materials when they are complete.
