Executive Summary: |
While City crews continue to maintain the surface, through patchwork, and crack sealing, Kasold Drive has essentially failed and has a Pavement Condition Index (PCI) of 43.
Project No. PW1505 is a total reconstruction of Kasold Drive, from approximately 6th Street to Bob Billings Parkway. The improvements include concrete pavement, two lanes in each direction, a center turn lane, bike lanes, a sidewalk and multiuse path, storm sewer, signalization of the intersections at Harvard Road/Kasold Drive and 8th Street/Kasold Drive, and water main replacement.
The project design has been completed, and right-of-way and easement acquisition is underway. The project should be ready to bid later this fall.
The project has been included in the CIP for several years, CIP Project No. PW17E1CIP.
The total project cost is estimated at $8,075,000. Funding will come from:

The estimated total cost of the project is $8,075,000. Adoption of Resolution No. 7218 authorizes the issuance of a maximum of $1,575,000 in General Obligation Bonds. This project is included in the 2017 CIP (CIP #PW17E1). |
