AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCE, KANSAS ALLOWING THE POSSESSION AND CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ON CERTAIN SPECIFIED PUBLIC PROPERTY

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCE, KANSAS:

SECTION 1. Pursuant to City of Lawrence Code Section 4-105(E), the prohibition of the sale, possession, and consumption of alcoholic liquor on public property shall not apply on the public right of way on Massachusetts Street from North Park Street to South Park Street on Sunday, August 27, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. for the Kansas State Fiddling and Picking Championships event, provided the sale, possession and consumption are pursuant to City of Lawrence and State of Kansas law.

SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its adoption and publication as provided by law.
