Recommendations/Options/Action Requested:

 

Approve request to rezone, Z-17-00087, approximately .52 acre located at 508 Michigan Street from RM12 (Multi-Dwelling Residential) District and RS5 (Single Dwelling Residential) District to CS (Commercial Strip) District and adopt on first reading Rezoning Ordinance No. 9355.

 

Executive Summary:

The property is located at 508 Michigan Street and located within the Pinckney Neighborhood. The property is designated as a non-conforming use because the commercial activity is not currently permitted in the residentially zoned district. Approval of the request will remove the non-conforming designation.

 

A site plan will be required to use the rear area for exterior storage. Appropriate screening will be required and is a function of the site plan review.
