Executive Summary: |
The Hot Rod Hullabaloo event organizers have applied for street event temporary use of right of way permit for their 2017 event which will be held on Saturday September 30, 2017 from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in South Park. The event will include the closure of the Massachusetts Street between North Park Street and South Park Street.
The Event applicant has requested an ordinance authorizing the sale, possession and consumption of alcohol on Massachusetts Street between North Park Street and South Park Street during their event.
The request to sell, possess and consume alcohol within the public right of way has been reviewed pursuant to City of Lawrence Code, Chapter IV, Article 1, Section 4-113 and was found to not be within 400 feet of a church or school. |
