Adopt on first reading Ordinance No. 9347, allowing the sale, possession and consumption of alcohol in the public right-of-way on Saturday October 7, 2017 on E. 7^th Street from New York Street to the southern property line of Van Go (715 New Jersey Street) for the Dinner on the Curve event.
Executive Summary:		The Dinner on the Curve event organizers have applied for street event temporary use of right of way permit for their 2017 event which will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2017, from 12:00 p.m. to 11:59 p.m.. The event will include the closure of E. 7^th Street from New York Street to the southern property line of Van Go (715 New Jersey Street) for the Dinner on the Curve event. The event applicant has requested an ordinance authorizing the sale, possession and consumption of alcohol on E. 7^th Street from New York Street to the southern property line of Van Go (715 New Jersey Street) during their event. The request to sell, possess and consume alcohol within the public right of way has been reviewed pursuant to City of Lawrence Code, Chapter IV, Article 1, Section 4-113 and was found to not be within 400 feet of a church or school.
