Recommendations/Options/Action Requested:
Authorize the City Manager to execute a License Agreement with the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas, a Kansas not for profit corporation, if appropriate.
Executive Summary:		St. John’s Catholic Church currently uses, and has for many years used, a portion of the Kentucky Street Right of Way for parking. Due to recent redevelopment of the property, St. John’s was required to obtain from the Department of Planning and Development Services a site plan. As part of the approval process for that site plan, the City requires St. John’s to obtain a License Agreement with the City to continue using a portion of the Kentucky Street Right of Way for parking. St. John’s and City staff have reached a tentative agreement whereby St. John’s will continue to use a portion of the Kentucky Street Right of Way for parking and will retain responsibility for maintaining the licensed area. The proposed agreement will permit St. John’s to use the licensed area and will protect the City’s rights in the Kentucky Street Right of Way.
