Recommendations/Options/Action Requested:
Approve the proposed amendment to the Parks and Recreation Sponsorship Policy.
Executive Summary:		At the Tuesday, Feb. 21,City Commission meeting, approval was given for the creation of a new Parks and Recreation sponsorship policy. This City Commission further directed staff to incorporate additional wording in the Naming Rights section of the policy, adding that the department will provide information to the City Commission regarding the construction and operational costs of a city asset when considering it for a potential naming rights sponsorship. The attached policy is submitted for approval with the requested modification. Also included is a listing of City of Lawrence assets within the Parks and Recreation Department and how they were named.

Fiscal Impact (Amount/Source):		There is no immediate fiscal impact to the City related to the adoption of this policy amendment. The policy will guide the development of future sponsorship agreements by the Parks and Recreation Department, and the fiscal impact of each potential agreement will be analyzed when considered.
