Approve as “Signs of Community Interest” a request from the Friends of the Lawrence Public Library to place signs at various locations promoting their book sale events to be held the weeks of March 27, July 10, and October 2 during the 2017 calendar year, with the condition that signs be placed on private properties with permission of the property owners. |

Executive Summary: |
The Friends of the Lawrence Public Library is requesting permission to display temporary event signs to promote the multiple book sale events during the 2017 calendar year. Signs would be located at major intersections throughout the City in locations specified on the request for approval (attached). The signs are proposed to be 16” x 26” and 24” x 36” in size and would be placed on wire posts secured in the ground. Signs would be placed for seven day periods beginning March 27, 2017, July 3, 2017, and October 2, 2017. The Friends of the Lawrence Public Library has agreed to a condition that signs be placed on private properties with permission of property owners rather than being placed in street rights of way. |
