Award hourly rate and unit priced contractual services bids for the Parks & Recreation Department. |

Executive Summary: |
The City of Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department requested bids for hourly rate and unit priced contractual services for electrical, carpentry, painting, plumbing, concrete, excavation, HVAC, engineering and design services. The successful bidder will be hired as needed to perform small projects throughout the year. Each individual bid document will be for a one-year term with renewal options up to four additional years if pricing is held at the bid price and quality of work meets expectation. The bid documents also specified that approved bids may be utilized by other City of Lawrence departments.

It is estimated that the total of these contracted services throughout the year will equal $150,000 - $200,000 for parks and recreation project. Funds are budgeted for this type of project work in a variety of contractual services lines throughout the department’s general fund, recreation fund, golf course fund and special recreation fund. |
