Recommendations/Options/Action Requested:
Approve outside agency application for 2018 funding.
Executive Summary:		Each year, the City receives funding requests from a number of social service agencies and economic development agencies.  In the past, three distinct application forms have been used.  In order to streamline the process for the agencies and staff, staff recommends moving to one standard application form for both social service and economic development agencies for the 2018 budget process. The Social Service Funding Advisory Board (the Board) met on February 16 and recommends the attached application.   The following changes have been made to the form: · Section added to the form with additional questions for agencies applying for special alcohol dollars; · Question added about how the proposed program aligns with the strategic plan, specifically the critical success factors; · Standardized budget forms added; · Section added requiring agencies to attach their most recent 990, financial audit, and annual report as well as provide some key information from those documents.  Assuming Commission approval, the application period will open March 1 and close on March 31.  The Board will review the applications in April and make recommendations for funding to the City Commission.
