Approve request to establish a 20mph Speed Limit on East Glenn Drive between Harper Street and Maple Lane. |

Executive Summary: |
The speed limit on East Glenn Drive is 30mph, as established by State Law. Traffic data collected found the 85th percentile speed to be approximately 34.2mph; in addition, there are no sidewalks on either side of East Glenn Drive; therefore, all pedestrians, including children walking to school, must walk in the street.
At the November 7 Traffic Safety Commission Meeting, seven (7) residents of the Brook Creek Neighborhood addressed the Commission on this item, all in support of a 20mph Speed Limit.
The Traffic Safety Commission noted that there was consensus within the neighborhood on this item.
The Traffic Safety Commission voted unanimously, 8-0, to recommend establishing a 20mph Speed Limit on East Glenn Drive between Harper Street and Maple Lane. |
