Approve request for Traffic Calming on 3rd Street between Lyon Street and North Street |

Executive Summary: |
Traffic data obtained during May and October 2016, found that the City’s criteria for consideration of Traffic Calming is currently met, based on the City’s Traffic Calming Policy, Section 2.D, which states, “Where no single condition is satisfied, but where any two of A, B or C above are satisfied to the extent of 80 percent or more of the stated values”.
At the November 7 Traffic Safety Commission Meeting, four (4) residents spoke in favor of Traffic Calming; in addition, two (2) e-mail’s from residents in opposition to Traffic Calming had been received.
The Traffic Safety Commission voted unanimously, 8-0, to recommend approving the request for Traffic Calming. |

Fiscal Impact (Amount/Source): |
The fiscal impact to the City is approximately $16,000. This item is not in the 2017 budget since the request was not received and processed prior to adoption.
If approved by the City Commission, this project will be placed on the list of Approved Traffic Calming projects until funding is available. |
