Executive Summary: |
Streets Division has identified in the 2017 CIP budget process the replacement of units #313 and #367 skid steers. Skid steers serve multiple roles in street maintenance to include; curb maintenance, asphalt maintenance, and storm sewer maintenance. Scheduled replacement of high use equipment is crucial to keep street maintenance operations effective. Central Maintenance utilized cooperative purchasing contact pricing from three vendors. The Kansas State contract #39908 from Clark Equipment Co. provides the most advantageous structure for Streets Division. This pricing structure includes trades for both units and new mill heads that serve a vital role in pavement maintenance.
