Executive Summary: |
Parks and Recreation solicited proposals from concessions vendors to operate food and beverage concessions at the following Parks & Recreation Facilities:
Group 1: Sports Pavilion Lawrence, 101 George Williams Way Group 2 Clinton Lake Youth Sports Complex (YSC), 1035 N. 1350 Road Clinton Lake Adult Softball Complex (CLSC), 1352 E. 1048 Road Holcom Park Athletic Complex (HPSC), 2601 W. 25th Street Lawrence Outdoor Aquatic Center (LOAC), 727 Kentucky Street Lawrence Indoor Aquatic Center (LIAC), 4706 Overland Drive Group 3: All locations listed in option 1 and option 2
Proposals were rated based on percentage of gross sales/set fee paid to the City, the number of facilities that the vendor could successfully operate, and the ability to provide healthy menu items that meet the department’s nutritional standards for concessions and vending.
Three firms responded to our request for proposals: Sandbar Subs LLC Dickey’s BBQ The Juice Stop
Sandbar Subs LLC provided the best proposal to provide services for all facilities. Their proposal also provided the best menu options that met all of the requirements specified.
