Updated Utility Rates to take Effect on November 15, 2016

Summary

Pursuant to previous Governing Body action, the rates for water and wastewater, solid waste and stormwater are increasing effective for bills with service beginning on November 15, 2016. The total monthly increase for all three services assuming an average residential customer using 4,000 gallons of water a month is $5.02.

Water and Wastewater Fund

The City Commission adopted ordinance No. 9122 establishing the water and sewer rates for 2016 and 2017 on August 4, 2015. For typical residential customer usage of 4,000 gallons water and sewer, the 2017 rates represent a $4.40 total monthly cost increase (or 7.4% increase) between adopted 2016 and 2017 rates.
