Executive Summary: |
This rezoning application and corresponding Preliminary Development Plan (PDP-16-00331) has been submitted to construct a surface parking lot to provide required off-street parking spaces for the HERE @ Kansas mixed use development located at 1101 Indiana Street.
The rezoning will provide a uniform district to allow for the parking lot that meets the minimum design requirement for the base zoning district of an off-site parking lot being the same or more intensive than the primary use. The Planned District Overlay provides a more stringent review process that demands public input through the public hearing process.
The proposed parking will serve the residential element of the mixed use building. This project includes the realignment of Fambrough Drive.
The Planning Commission voted 9-1 to forward a recommendation for approval. |
