Authorize the City Manager to approve purchase order for design services for PW1505 Kasold Drive project to CFS Engineers in the amount of $383,800. |

Executive Summary: |
On September 6, 2016, the City Commission directed staff to negotiate scope and fee for final design plans with Cook, Flatt & Strobel (CFS) Engineers for Kasold Drive reconstruction from Bob Billings Parkway to 6th Street.
The design will include items from the City Commission's preferred option of 5-lane street segment including a traffic signal at Kasold and Harvard, sidewalks and bicycle facilities. A new 12" watermain will also be included in the design.
The scope and design fee for final plans is $383,800. Including the costs for survey from the concept phase the fee is in-line with the city's design fee schedule (7% of the estimated construction costs) for the estimated $6,000,000 project. |
