Attached is the 2015 Voided/Dismissed Citation Report.
2016 Multi-Dwelling Inventory Report
Planning staff has developed a Multi-Dwelling Inventory Report for the City of Lawrence. Information is provided on supply (inventory of land zoned to permit multi-dwelling structures) and market demand (average number of units permitted over 10 years). Analysis shows that there are over 36 years of supply within the Downtown area (CD zoning), and over 20 years of supply for the rest of Lawrence; however, the report also notes that many other factors affect the supply of multi-family development.

Public Comment Follow-up
In late June 2016, the City Manager and the City Attorney met with Ms.Crystalee Protheroe to discuss concerns she had raised. The City Manager provided Ms. Protheroe a response in mid-July after her concerns had been thoroughly reviewed. On August 2, 2016, Ms. Protheroe addressed the City Commission during the public comment section of the Commission’s agenda regarding her thoughts on establishing a non-profit agency. On August 8, 2016, City Attorney’s Office staff met with Ms. Protheroe about her plans and opinions. On August 17, 2016, staff sent Ms. Protheroe a letter stating that the City could not establish the agency for her as she had requested. She was invited, however, to contact the City again once the agency is operational.
