Executive Summary: |
This is a request from Johnston Investments Company, LLC for a Special Use Permit to allow Manufacturing and Production, Limited in the CS (Commercial Strip) zoning district at 706 E 23rd Street on 1.53 acres. The SUP is required due to a recent rezoning of the property from the IG to the CS District, which facilitated the addition of a bar with the microbrewery. A vacant lumber yard at the site will be renovated to house the microbrewery and bar, with an outside seating area. The majority of the food sales will occur from a Food Truck in the parking lot.
The Planning Commission considered this item at their August 22, 2016 meeting and voted unanimously to forward the SUP to the City Commission with a recommendation for approval. The SUP is on the City Commission September 6 agenda for approval and the SUP Ordinance, Ordinance No. 9289, is on the agenda for adoption on first reading. |
