ORDINANCE NO. 9287

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCE, KANSAS, CONCERNING CITY BIDDING REQUIREMENTS, AMENDING CHAPTER I, ARTICLE 3, SECTION 1-304 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCE, KANSAS.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCE, KANSAS:

SECTION 1. Chapter I, Article 3, Section 304 of the Code of the City of Lawrence, Kansas, 2015 Edition, is hereby amended to read as follows:

ARTICLE 3. CITY MANAGER

1-304 BIDDING REQUIREMENTS

As provided by Charter Ordinance 19 and other applicable law, in all cases where the estimated cost of the contemplated public improvement amounts to more than $15,000.00 $50,000.00, sealed proposals for the improvement, unless waived by the Governing Body, shall be invited by advertisement and published by the City Clerk once in the official City newspaper.

SECTION 2. Chapter I, Article 3, Section 304 of the Code of the City of Lawrence, Kansas, 2015 Edition, is hereby repealed it being the intent of this ordinance to supersede the repealed provision.

SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be effective on and after its publication as provided by law.
