Information Technology recommends the City of Lawrence approve a purchase order in the amount of $32,147.00 to Logic, Inc. to continue the use of the SCADA Wonderware software for the period September 30, 2016 to September 30, 2017. 

Executive Summary:

The City of Lawrence uses Logic, Inc.’s Wonderware Software to operate the Utilities SCADA Systems.  SCADA is an industry term abbreviating “Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition.”  SCADA systems help automate operations and centralize the monitoring and controlling of complex systems.  The annual maintenance includes technical support, software version upgrades, updates and patches.  This is a sole source purchase.

The fiscal impact to the City is $32,147.00.  This item was in the 2016 Utilities budget.  The software is budgeted as follows:
