Recommendations/Options/Action Requested:
Authorize the sole source purchase of identified meters in the total amount of $21,168.50 from Midwest Meter for replacement activities in 2016 pursuant to the 15-Year Large Water Meter Replacement Program.
Executive Summary:		The 15-Year Large Water Meter Replacement Program provides for replacement of all one and one-half (1 ½) inch and larger-sized meters that are 15 years or older. Staff performs the replacement work. The Program is based on American Water Works Association standards and manufacturing recommendations for water measurement reliability. Replacement meters are Badger brand for meter consistency and compatibility with installed radio heads. Midwest Meters is the sole source provider for Badger meters in our area. Meters generally require eight weeks from order to delivery. This is an addendum to the Program request approved by Commission on March 8, 2016, covering an additional 43 meters needing replacement this year.

Fiscal Impact (Amount/Source):		Meter replacement based on industry standards and measurement reliability matrixes are recurring and anticipated. Funding for this program is from the Utilities Fund 501 Operations and Maintenance Budget.
