Initiate a Text Amendment, TA-16-00335, regarding Telecommunications Facilities. |

Executive Summary: |
Kansas State House Bill No. 2131 will amend a number of state laws related to the municipal regulation of Telecommunications Facilities. The bill will become law effective October 1, 2016. The proposed text amendment would bring the City Code, specifically Chapter 20, Article 5, Section 20-529 thereof, into compliance with the new laws.
The proposed text amendment will be considered at a public hearing at the September meeting of the Lawrence-Douglas County Metropolitan Planning Commission. The Planning Commission‘s recommendation regarding the proposed text amendment will then be forwarded to the City Commission for further action. |
