Completing the first quarter of 2016, the Homeless Outreach Team served a total of 212 individuals and families, which indicates an increase in the average number of people served for a single quarter over the general average of quarters past. The number of chronically homeless continues to remain high, indicating an insufficiency in resources to appropriately service that population.
The glaring areas of unmet need continue to be affordable housing, resources to assist individuals and families access housing, as well as effective resources to ensure people are able to obtain gainful employment.
