Authorize the City Manager to execute Change Order No. 1 with Crossland Heavy Contractors for the Clinton Water Treatment Plant Raw Water Pump Station Improvements Project UT1417 increasing the construction contract by $25,219.00 and extending the Final Completion Date by 45 days.

 

Project Description

The project is constructing an addition to the existing Raw Water Pump Station located adjacent to the spillway at the Clinton Reservoir dam (location map). to house the VFD’s and other sensitive electrical equipment. This addition will be isolated from the existing unconditioned space and equipped with heating, and air-conditioning appropriate for the installed equipment. The project is also replacing the existing 5 MGD pump no.2 with a 10 MGD pump/motor/VFD bringing the pump station to its design, firm capacity of 25 MGD; replacing the existing VFDs on pumps no.1 & no.3; installing a bypass on the existing VFD for pump no.4 and reinstalling it in the new space; replacing the existing 750 KVA incoming electrical service transformers with 1500 KVA transformers to meet the increased pumping capacity load requirements; replacing the existing 36” diameter steel pump discharge piping; and reroofing and fencing the existing building.

 

Project Status

Change Order No.1 to the construction contract includes the following items of work as directed by the Department.

Project Funding

The project is funded from the Department of Utilities Bonded Construction Fund per Resolutions 7062 & 7107.
