RE:	Process Instrumentation for Wakarusa River Wastewater Treatment Plant; UT1304

Background

Process instrumentation equipment and controllers are critical components in monitoring wastewater treatment processes. Currently under construction with an expected early 2018 online date, the Wakarusa River Wastewater Treatment Plant needs these items installed and functional prior to commencement of treatment operations.

Staff has negotiated sole source quotes from Hach Company for a combined total purchase price of $55,007.22, including related service plan. Hach is a sole source provider to ensure necessary compatibility and uniformity of this operational equipment.

Funding

Purchase will be funded from Utilities bond funds.

Action

Authorize the sole source purchase of process instrumentation equipment and controllers from Hach Company for the combined total purchase price of $55,007.22 for Wakarusa River Wastewater Treatment Plant (UT1304).
