RE:	Set a bid opening date of August 2, 2016 for Bid No. B1630 Contractor Services for Emergency Repair of Sanitary Sewer Mains, Force Mains, and Air Relief Valves.

Project Description

Collapsed sewer mains, severe sewer pipe fractures and other defects need immediate repair to prevent sanitary sewer overflows and backups into customer homes. The department averages 45 emergency repairs annually, which range in price from $3,000 to $14,000 per repair.

The bid request is for emergency sanitary sewer repairs for one year with the option to renew that contract for four additional one-year periods with the agreement of both parties. The current contract expires August 1, 2016.

Project Funding

Funding is from the Utilities Operations and Maintenance Budget.
