Purchase of US Army Corp of Engineers approved rip-rap |
Background
Per the 2013 US Army Corp of Engineers (USACE) periodical inspection it was noted that rip-rap replacement was needed along the Kansas River Levee. In the 2016 approved general fund budget $50,000.00 was identified for this project. Three suppliers were contacted regarding availability and transportation of approved rip-rap. Mid States Materials provided the lowest priced for delivered USACE approved rip-rap with immediate availability.

Project Funding
Funding will be from the approved 2016 General Fund Levee Slope Repair line item.
Action
Approve the purchase of ASACE approved rip-rap from Mid States Materials not to exceed $50,000.00.
