RE:	Purchase of One (1) John Deere XUV 825i Gator

Background

Unit 5519, a 2004 Toro Workman- 2100 has been identified as a unit at the end of its useable life. This unit has met the city’s replacement criteria. The equipment replacement schedule is based on age, hours of use, and cost of maintenance and upkeep.

Staff Recommendation

Parks and Recreation staff recommends the purchase of Purchase of One (1) John Deere XUV 825i Gator.

Funding

This purchase will be using pricing from a cooperative purchasing agreement with the State of Kansas (Piggy-Back 4425-5) which would result in a total purchase of $19,215.58. This price includes the trade-in of unit 5519. Funds are available for this purchase in the 216 Special Recreation Fund.

Action

Authorize the Parks and Recreation Department to purchase one (1) John Deere XUV 825i Gator for $19,215.58 from Deere & Company.
