Background:
The following individual(s) participated in a Community Development Division loan program.
1) Anthony R. Mendez & Toni C. Dudley, 3910 West 10th Circle, participated in the Furnace Loan Program in 2012.
2) Christopher W. Koger & Darlene Koger, 224 East 17th Terrace, participated in the Comprehensive Housing Rehabilitation Program in 2007.
3) Trent Georgie & Wendi Georgie, 1206 West 29th Court, participated in the Comprehensive Housing Rehabilitation Program in 2002.
4) Opal Alexander, 2112 Ohio Street, participated in the Furnace Loan Program in 2012 and in the Emergency Loan Program in 2014.
Based on the program the individual(s) participated in, a mortgage was placed on the property. The balance is due when the property is no longer owner-occupied, however individuals have the option to pay off the loan at any time. There is also a forgiveness period that, if reached, forgives this balance. Staff has determined that the forgiveness period has passed for the above loan(s) that has resulted in a zero balance due to the City.
Staff Recommendation:
The mortgage provisions have been satisfied and the mortgage(s) should be released.
Action:
Authorize the Mayor to sign the Release of Mortgage for Anthony R. Mendez & Toni C. Dudley, 3910 West 10th Circle.
Authorize the Mayor to sign the Release of Mortgage for Christopher W. Koger & Darlene Koger, 224 East 17th Terrace.
Authorize the Mayor to sign the Release of Mortgage for Trent Georgie & Wendi Georgie, 1206 West 29th Court.
Authorize the Mayor to sign the Release of Mortgage (2) for Opal Alexander, 2112 Ohio Street.
