RE:	Signs of Community Interest Request, Douglas County Fair

Background

The Douglas County Fair Board is requesting permission to display temporary banners promoting the Douglas County Fair to be held the week of July 24, 2016. To promote the event the organization is requesting approval to post signs at various locations (listed below) on private property beginning Sunday, July 24, 2106.  Signs would be removed by Tuesday, August 2, 2016.  The proposed signs are banners that would be 3 feet by 10 feet in area (see attached photo).

Requested locations:

• Clinton Parkway Nursery, 4900 Clinton Parkway
• Crown Automotive, 3400 S Iowa Street
• Howard Pine Greenhouse, 1320 N 3^rd Street
• Reuschoff Locksmith, 3727 W 6^th Street
• Heritage Tractor, 1110 E 23^rd Street

Action

Approve as “signs of community interest”, a request from the Douglas County Fair Board to place signs at various locations to promote the Douglas County Fair event from July 24 through August 2, 2016.
