Description

2016 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) request for Douglas County Kansas Sheriff’s Office –To purchase forensic equipment and training needed to adequately process digital evidence collected during criminal investigations. This equipment has been identified by both the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department and the Lawrence Police Department as the project for this grant request and if awarded, will allow both agencies to better respond to evidence obtained from digital video recorders, cell phones, computers, as well as, other sources of digital evidence encountered during criminal investigations.

Action Request

Police Department staff requests the City Manager to execute this agreement if the grant application is successful.
