Background

On April 26, 2016, the City Commission awarded the Public Works Department’s 2016 Microsurfacing, Patch, Overlay and Concrete Maintenance Program, to the low bidder, Sunflower Paving, Inc. (City Bid No. B1612).

Project Description

The Parks & Recreation Department is requesting Commission approval to use unit pricing from this bid to make asphalt repairs to the parking lot at the Clinton Lake Softball Complex, the Rotary Arboretum, the Youth Sports Complex and the roads at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Staff Recommendation

Use Sales Tax Reserve Funds, up to $50,000, to make needed asphalt repairs using unit pricing from Bid No. B1612

Action

Authorize the Parks and Recreation Department to make asphalt repairs to parking lots and roads using unit pricing from the 2016 Public Works Bid No. 1612, awarded to Sunflower Paving Inc. Using the Sales Tax Reserve to fund $50,000’s worth of repairs
