Event Permit – 2016 Fall Food Truck Festival |
Savor Lawrence has requested a Street Event Temporary use of right-of-way permit to close a portion of the 700 block of Vermont Street adjacent to the Library on Sunday, October 23, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m., for their 2016 Fall Food Truck Festival Event. Vermont Street would be closed from 7th Street to just north of the entrance into the parking garage immediately south of the Library from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. (see attached map). Access to the Vermont Street parking garage will be available from both Vermont and Kentucky Streets. Access to the Library will also be open. Fifty percent (50%) of all ticket sales will go to benefit the Lawrence Human Society.
Notice of this event and closure has been sent to adjacent property owners. (See attached notice).
In addition; Police, Parks and Recreation, Public Works, Fire/Medical, Lawrence Transit, Downtown Lawrence, Inc., eXplore Lawrence, and Lawrence Association of Neighborhoods all have reviewed this permit.
ACTION
Approve a Street Event Temporary use of right-of-way permit for Savor Lawrence to close a portion of the 700 block of Vermont Street adjacent to the Library on Sunday, October 23, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m., for their 2016 Fall Food Truck Festival Event.
