RE:	Event Permit – 2016 Fall Food Truck Festival

Savor Lawrence has requested a Street Event Temporary use of right-of-way permit to close a portion of the 700 block of Vermont Street adjacent to the Library on Sunday, October 23, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m., for their 2016 Fall Food Truck Festival Event. Vermont Street would be closed from 7^th Street to just north of the entrance into the parking garage immediately south of the Library from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. (see attached map). Access to the Vermont Street parking garage will be available from both Vermont and Kentucky Streets. Access to the Library will also be open. Fifty percent (50%) of all ticket sales will go to benefit the Lawrence Human Society.

Notice of this event and closure has been sent to adjacent property owners. (See attached notice).

In addition; Police, Parks and Recreation, Public Works, Fire/Medical, Lawrence Transit, Downtown Lawrence, Inc., eXplore Lawrence, and Lawrence Association of Neighborhoods all have reviewed this permit.

ACTION

Approve a Street Event Temporary use of right-of-way permit for Savor Lawrence to close a portion of the 700 block of Vermont Street adjacent to the Library on Sunday, October 23, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m., for their 2016 Fall Food Truck Festival Event.
