RE:	Special Event Permit, SE-16-00119, for Henry T’s 25^th Anniversary

Background

A Special Event Permit has been requested for Henry T’s Anniversary Party at 3520 W. 6^th Street on May 14, 2016. Submitted by Sean Garrity c/o Henry T’s, with permission of James Baggett and Mauguerite Ermeling, property owners of record.

Type 5 special events, public events intended primarily for entertainment or amusement such as concerts and festivals and any special event not meeting the criteria of Sections 6-1503 or 6-1504 may be granted a Temporary Special Event Permit by the City Commission.  The proposed special event for Henry T’s Anniversary falls into the Type 5 definition and therefore requires City Commission approval.  The detailed description of activities is attached.

Staff Recommendation

Planning Staff recommends approval of the Special Event Permit SE-16-00119 for Henry T’s Anniversary Party at 3520 W. 6^th Street from 3 pm to 9 pm on May 14^th, 2016, subject to the conditions listed on the special event permit.

Action

Approve Special Event Permit, SE-16-00119, if appropriate.
