Corpus Christi Benefit District

 

Background

In 2014 Corpus Christi Church on Bob Billings Parkway constructed an addition to their facility which necessitated the installation of a dedicated left turn lane.

 

The church petitioned the city to create a benefit district for the construction of a left turn lane on October 14, 2014, and the City Commission adopted Resolution No. 7074 directing the improvements.

 

In the summer of 2015 the project was completed and final costs are now ready to be assessed.

The construction of a dedicated left turn on Bob Billings Parkway, including curb, pavement, storm sewer and sidewalks

Improvement District:

Corpus Christi Church is the only property

Estimated Cost:

$250,000

Apportionment of Cost:

100% is being paid by the benefit district (Corpus Christi) and 0% by the City at Large 

 

Final Project Cost:  $230,604.48   (see attached spreadsheet)

 

The church has also signed the attached Waiver of Assessment Proceedings so there is no protest period.

 

Action

Adopt on first reading, Ordinance No. 9224, establishing the final assessment for the benefit district.
