2015 Utilities Integrated Plan Annual Report Submitted

In January 2014, the City of Lawrence signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Kansas Department of Health and Environment to acknowledge and agree upon an Integrated Municipal Wastewater Planning document for wastewater treatment plants and collection system improvements with flexible implementation goals. The MOU is the mechanism used by KDHE and the city to reach the agreement on the appropriateness and the implementation of improvements outlined in the City’s Wastewater Master Planning.

The MOU requires annual reports with updates to review the progress and performance of the plan. This annual report outlines the status of the projects as identified in the City’s Integrated Wastewater Plan during 2015 and the Department’s projected plans for 2016 and beyond.

City of Lawrence testimony on Legislative Issues Now Online:

The City is now posting ongoing testimony it provides on various legislative issues on the City’s website.  Also posted on the City’s website is the annually adopted Legislative Priority Statement, highlighting the major issues of concern to the City Commission on legislative matters.  http://lawrenceks.org/legislative-priorities
