RE:	Reporting of State Forfeitures Per K.S.A. 60-4117(d)(2)

It has recently come to attention that Kansas State Statute, K.S.A. 60-4117(d)(2), requires that agencies provide a report listing annual state forfeitures received on an annual basis to the agency’s budgeting entity.  There has always been a financial accounting of the information, but not the submittal of the required report.  To that end, please accept this report detailing the totals received for the past three years.  Henceforth, an annual report will be submitted to you as required.

The Lawrence Police Department, per K.S.A. 60-4117(d)(2) received the following state forfeiture funds for 2013, 2014 and 2015:

2013 - $39,806.35 (see attached report)

2014 - $1,353.22 (see attached report)

2015 - $20,330.32 (see attached report)

These funds were used for educational/training opportunities.
