RE:	Signs of Community Interest Request, Lawrence Public Library Book Sale

Background

Friends of the Lawrence Public Library, a 501(c)3 organization, seeks approval to post temporary signs around the city to advertise the Friends of the Lawrence Public Library Book Sale (see attached request).  Signs will be posted for seven days, March 28 through April 4 at the following locations:

Clinton Parkway & Kasold

23rd & Iowa

23rd & Naismith

23rd & Louisiana

23rd & Massachusetts

23rd & Haskell

23rd & Harper

31st & Iowa

6th & Kasold

6th & Iowa

6th & Wakarusa

6th & George Williams Way (not pictured)

Inverness & Wakarusa

15th St. & Kasold

15th St & Wakarusa

Massachusetts @ South Park

6th & Vermont

N. 2nd St. & NE Industrial Ln.

Signs will be 16”x26” double-sided and professionally printed on plastic coated paperboard mounted on wire holders. There will be a total of 35 signs posted, two at each of the aforementioned intersections.

Action

Approve as “Signs of Community Interest”, a request from Friends of the Lawrence Public Library to place temporary signs at various locations March 28 to April 4, 2016.
