City Commission to Consider Street Closures for Downtown Shot Put

On February 23, 2016, the Lawrence City Commission will consider a request to close the 100 block of E 8^th Street and the intersection of 8^th Street and New Hampshire Street from 6:00 a.m. Thursday April 21, 2016 to 6:00 a.m. Saturday April 23, 2016 for the 2016 Downtown Shot Put event. This closure would take place so that the shot put sector can be constructed and the event could take place in the street.
