19^th Street public meeting to be held

On Wednesday, March 2, 2016 the City of Lawrence will hold a public meeting on proposed improvements to 19th Street, from Iowa Street to Naismith Drive.  The meeting will be held in Fire Station #5, Jayhawk Room, 1911 Stewart Avenue, 7:00 p.m. – 8 p.m.  Questions can be direct to Charles Soules at csoules@lawrenceks.org or (785) 832-3124.

KU to undertake work on Irving Hill Bridge

The University of Kansas has been granted a temporary use of right of way to reduce traffic on Iowa street at the Irving Hill Bridge for maintenance work. The work is scheduled to be done the week of March 14 to 18, 2016. The traffic impact will be from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm each day and traffic will be returned to normal at the conclusion of work each day. Both north and south bound traffic will be maintained while traffic control is established (see attached traffic control plan). This work will be done the week of spring break.
