2016 Wage Floor

Pursuant to the City’s Tax Abatement Policy, the wage floor hourly wage is adjusted annually. For 2016, the City of Lawrence’s wage floor increased from $12.5 6 in 2015 to $12.60. This wage is adjusted each year, based upon an average wage equal to one hundred thirty percent of the federal poverty threshold for a family of three. The poverty level for a family of three, as established by the United States Department of Health and Human Services, was $20,160 for 2016. A summary of the wage floor amounts since 2003 can be found in the attached memo.

Planning & Development Services (PDS) Monthly Project Report:

Lawrence Transit Public Meeting:

Lawrence Transit System invites the public to attend its annual meetings to discuss service changes for the coming year. Meetings are held in an open house format.  Please see attached memo for more information, including meeting dates, times, and locations.
