Change Order to Douglas Pump Emergency PO #014129

 

Background

Emergency Purchase Order #014129 for $14,500 was issued to Douglas Pump Service in December 2015 for evaluation and repair of operationally critical equipment installed at Wastewater Pump Station 5B. The equipment needs to be repaired as soon as possible as it is a vital component to wastewater collection activities at this location.

 

Project Description

Douglas Pump has completed inspection and advised staff the repairs will cost $23,178.50.

 

Staff Recommendation

Given the emergency nature of and operational need for these repairs, staff has requested a change order of $8,678.50 to Purchase Order #014129, thereby increasing the total amount from $14,500 to $23,178.50.

 

Funding

Funding for this purchase is from the Utilities Operations and Maintenance Budget.

 

Action

Approve change order for $8,678.50 to Douglas Pump Purchase Order #014129, thereby increasing the purchase order total amount from $14,500 to $23,178.50.
