Status Update on Public Works/USD 497 issues and projects

Annual Bicycle & Pedestrian Count Program

In September 2015, the MPO staff concluded the 7^th Annual Bicycle and Pedestrian Counts as part of an annual submission to the National Bicycle and Pedestrian Documentation Project.  See attached memo for more information.

Lawrence-Douglas County Bicycle Advisory Committee (BAC) 2016 Work Program

The Lawrence-Douglas County Bicycle Advisory Committee (BAC) was formed to make recommendations to the Governing Body of the City of Lawrence, Kansas, the Board of County Commissioners of Douglas County, Kansas (BOCC), and to the Lawrence-Douglas County Metropolitan Planning Organization (L-DC MPO) regarding issues that affect bicycle use within the community.

The BAC develops an annual work plan to act as a guide for BAC activity throughout the year; however, the work plan is not an exhaustive list of the tasks the BAC may work on during 2016. The 2016 BAC Work Plan was approved at the January 11^th BAC meeting and is attached.
