Purchase two (2) Utilities service trucks for Wastewater Treatment Operations |
Background
The service trucks are additions to the fleet. The super cab trucks allow flexibility to mobilize workers to job sites throughout the day. The enclosed cab with tool storage capability keeps supplies and inventory being hauled to off-site buildings from being exposed to weather elements.
Project Description
The bid differential is not within the City’s one-percent (1%) local preference policy.

Staff Recommendation
Central Maintenance Garage and Wastewater Treatment recommend the purchase of two (2) F150 trucks for wastewater operations from Shawnee Mission Ford. These vehicles are additions to the fleet.
Funding
Funding for this purchase is from the 2016 Utilities Operations and Maintenance Budget.
Action
Authorize the purchase of two (2) wastewater service trucks from Shawnee Mission Ford in the amount of $63,350.00.
